Modou Lamin Coker, head of security at Africell, yesterday, testified before the Bundung Magistrates Court on the ongoing theft case involving one Modou Sanneh, a security officer of Prime Security.

Testifying before Senior Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara, Modou Lamin Coker told the court that on April 22, 2008, he was informed by his boss that one of their sites in Brusubi was not functioning as there was a network jam.  

He further told the court that he and his boss with others then visited the site and upon arrival, they noticed that the padlock to the generator was damaged. Mr Coker added that it was then discovered that there was no fuel in the generator, thus leading them to the conclusion that the fuel in the generator was stolen resulting to the network failure.

Mr Coker continued that when the contracted firm (Prime Security) at the site was contacted, they were informed that one Lamin Marong and the accused should have been on duty at the site but they were not at the said location in Brusubi.  He further told the court that he then reported the matter to the Wellingara Police and gave a statement.  Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara at that juncture adjourned the case to July 16, for cross-examination of PW1 Mr Coker .
