The people of Central River Region, led by their governor, Ganyie Touray,  in collaboration with the students of Armitage Senior School on Saturday November 17th harvested President Jammeh's rice farm in Janjangbureh, CRR.

Speaking at the harvesting site, Governor Ganyie Touray said farming is the only way to bring food self sufficiency in the region. He said the youth should venture into farming to attain this goal.  He called on youth to revitalize their activities and embark on agricultural production.

He commended chiefs in the region for their support during the farming and harvesting.
Other speakers at the harvesting exercise were Seyfo Bakary Jam Jawo and Seyfo Momodou Lamin Baldeh who all expressed their appreciation to the staff and students of Armitage Senior Secondary School for their tireless efforts.  They thanked President Jammeh for  putting the development of the rural people as  his top priority  particularly youth development.
