FIB gives Ramadan gift

Wednesday, September 26, 2007

The First International Bank (FIB), yesterday, presented fifty bags of sugar to various Muslim communities in the Kanifing Municipality, at a presentation ceremony held at its head office, along Kairaba Avenue.

In presenting the gift to the Muslim communities, Bubacarr Sawaneh, Marketing Manager of FIB, said this was not the first time the bank has undertaken such a wonderful gesture towards needy Muslims during Ramadan.

According to him, the bank has always had good relations with the people of the country and that being the case,  they will always be ready to help when the need arises, especially during the month of Ramadan.

He urged the representatives from the different areas to make sure that the gifts reach the beneficiaries.

Buba Conteh, Credit and Marketing Manager of the bank uttered similar sentiments.

Sheikh Tijan Gaye, a representative of the Banjul Muslim Elders Committee, thanked the bank for the wonderful gesture and promised to do what was expected of them as representatives.

The ceremony was witnessed by a cross-section of Muslim elders from various Muslim communities and the staff of the bank.
