KM pre-season final tomorrow

africa » gambia » kanifing
Thursday, February 07, 2008
The final of the Kanifing Municipality pre-season football tournament which was to be played on Tuesday, February 5, has been rescheduled to Friday, February 8, at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium, Pa Suwareh Faye member of the Organising Committee told Observer Sports last night.

The untimely demise of the former Bakau Imam, Alhaji Momodou Bojang, compelled the organisers to reschedule Tuesday's final between the Bakau giants, Steve Biko,  and the Division One newcomers, Samger.

Both sides made it to the final after edging their opponents in a heated semi-final crackers played last weekend.

Biko beat Ham Ham 1-0 to set up an enticing final tie with Samger, who also beat Kaira Silo by the same score on the same day.

The ten-team pre-season football tournament is meant to prepare the clubs ahead of the 2008 League season due to commence in February 2008.
