Officials from Football Digest, a newly established Newspaper specialised in football reporting, on Tuesday donated 250 note books to President Jammeh. The books ,which contain photoes of President Jammeh on his breakthrough programme on the front cover, were donated to the president  through Hon Neneh Macdouall Gaye, Secretary of State for Communication and Information Technology, at a presentation ceremony held at her office in Kanifing.

Speaking at the ceremony, Bisi Oyewuusi, Football Digest International Correspondent, said this donation is meant to identify the successes and achievements of His Excellency President Jammeh, in his breakthrough and his vision for the development of The Gambia.

He expressed hope that the donation would be useful and that many people would continue to benefit from the breakthrough, even at the international level.

Adams Wilfred, Marketing Manager of football digest, said they were grateful to the president for his vision in the breakthrough in the treatment of diseases.

He described this donation as a contribution to the breakthrough from football digest.

Mr Wilfred thanked Gambians for making football digest their own and promised that they would seek to raise the Gambian flag higher in football by promoting the game in The Gambia.

In receiving the donated items on behalf of President Jammeh, Hon Neneh Macdouall Gaye, Secretary of State for Communication and Information Technology, expressed delight at the gesture, adding that people have realised what His Excellency President Jammeh is doing for Gambians and non-Gambians alike.

"The treatment has been extended, we have people from Malawi, Zambia, Algeria, Nigeria etc, and they are all treated equally", she noted.

"This is a treatment that is quite expensive and the president is not charging any amount, instead he caters for all the patients and he makes sure that each patient has a whole set of materials needed for the treatment", she observed.

SoS Macdouall Gaye thanked football digest and promised them that she would hand over the gifts to the president, as well as extend their best wishes to His Excellency.

The ceremony which was chaired by Karim Sonko, Permanent Secretary at the Department of State for Communication and Information Technology (DOSCIT), was also attended by Yankuba Touray, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Technical, at DOSCIT and Ebou Jobe, Director of ICT.
