GTU Women's Wing holds seminar

The Women's Wing of the Gambia Teacher Union (GTU), last Friday, held a one day seminar at the GTU Headquater in Kanifing.

Speaking at the seminar, Mrs Zono Jammeh, Headmistress of St Thereses Upper Basic School in Kanifing, who also double asthe acting chairperson of the GTU women's wing said the areas of trining for this seminar is centered on Interpersonal relationship, SWOT analysis for the WEC, and the GTU Women's Wing caucuses for both regional and national levels.

She highlighted the following as the main objectives of the seminar, that is to help the the WEC members develop skills in interpersonal relations, to enable WEC members to identify problems hindering the success of the wing and to develop a work plan for september 2008 to August 2009, among others.

She described the seminar as timely and important matters concerning the welfare of the wing. For her part, Mrs Antoinettee Corr Jack, secretary general of the GTU women's wing, commended the teachers for honouring their invitations.
