Banutu Business College Student's body sworn-in

The Banutu Business College in Lamin village, last Saturday, sworn- in eight-member executive students' union body, at a ceremony held at the college grounds.

Speaking at the ceremony, Alwin Simpson of Erase Foundation, a UK based charity organisation, on behalf of the Secretary of State for Higher Education thanked Mr. Banutu Michea   Gomez, Proprietor of the college for the centre.  

He said the college has a future and then urged him to keep   up the momentum. He advised the students not to surely rely on the internet at all times, but   rely on their books.  

He further told them to take up their education seriously so that they can have a brighter future.

Speaking earlier, Mr Borry Saidy, President of the union assured the management of the college of their readiness to work hand-in-glove.

Mr. Saidy called on all and sundry to join together with the college to make it a better learning place.  

The swearing in ceremony was presided over by the   Chief of Kombo North, Alhajie Demba Sanyang, on behalf of the Secretry of State for Justice.  

The ceremony was attended by the Alkalo of Lamin Mbemba Bojang and the community of Lamin.

The new student body comprises Mr. Borry Saidy,   President, Vice-President, Mr. James F Mendy, Secretary, Mr. Lamin Fatty, Assistant Secretary, Sukunda Gomez, Treasurer, Ndey Fatou Drammeh, Assistant Treasurer Bernard Gomez,   Public Relations Officer, James F. Mendy and Sarjo Demba, Assistant PRO.
