In future, when Ndey Fatou Jobe, a 13-year-old girl student of St Peters Primary School Lamin grows look and sees the scars on her body, she would likely agree with the Holy Book that the heart of a man is desperately wicked.

The tragedy happened on the 6th of February when Ndey's Aunt, Ramatoulie Jallow, complained to one of their relative about her deliberately dodging school for three weeks. Her complains were based on the report she received from one of her school's teachers.

She told them that she will beat her when she comes back home that said day. She was supported to discipline Ndey like her daughter as home training deserved but none of them ever thinks that it will result to the use of a razor blade.

The teen girl arrived home while Ramatoulie was awaiting her with razor blade, when the girl saw this she ran down to her grandma at Lamin. While the neighbor at Banjulunding collected the razor blade from her, she further pursued her niece down to Lamin where she hit and beat her with a club. Everyone begged her to temper justice with Ndey before they were left alone in the room.

Suddenly Ndey Fatou Jobe was heard crying loudly to an extent a man forced opened the door and saw that her body had been slit with razor by her "aunty" Ramatoulie. After she had achieved her aim and her own styles of discipline a misbehave child, she instructed Ndey to take her birth but the man said no that he will take her to the hospital in that form.

She was then taken to  Banjulunding health center but police report was requested before any treatment can commence. They proceeded to Yundum Police Station while Ramatoulie Jallow was arrested. The case was taken up with the Police Child Welfare Unit at the Police Headquarters Banjul. Consequently,  Ramatoulie was charged before Brikama Magistrates' Court.

Ramatoulie Jallow and Ndey Fatou Jobe's mother, who resides abroad, are sisters. Initially, Ndey was staying with an uncle in Cassamance but her mother instructed Ramatoulie to take her custody because she is a woman and sister.
