Latrikunda youth launch Brotherhood Society

Youths of Latrikunda Sabiji, on Sunday launched an association called Brotherhood Society, which was formed 19 February 2007, at the BO Semega Janneh Hall in Bundung.

The brotherhood Society has among its aims and objectives, the setting up of more small scale enterprise projects for its members, contributing to the development of Latrikunda Sabiji through set-settal initiatives, as well as participating in other development works in the community. They also participate in the fight against diseases lkie tuberculosis, Hiv/Aids, malaria among others.  

In his welcoming remarks, Landing Jatta, the Alkalo of Latrikunda Sabiji ward, expressed delight to be associated with such an ambitious youth group. He urged the youths to unite and work together for the development of the country.

Arbi FS. Haye, the secretary general of the association outlined some of the achievements the Brotherhood Society.  Ebrima SF. Fofana, president of the association highlighted some of their initiatives and upcoming activities. Mr Fofana revealed that his association has been participating in cleaning their environment to eradicate Malaria and other arlaming health issues, as well as other development works in the community.

Mr Fofana finally advised the members of the association to show a high sense of dedication, discipline and work hard inorder to achieve their aims and objectives.

The launching ceremony ended with presentation of certificates to participants and a drama by members of the association.
