Insurance football final on Saturday

The long-awaited final of the first edition of a football tournament organised by the Insurance Association of the Gambia is scheduled for Saturday, November 10, at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.

Saturday's final which comes on the heels of heated group matches between the various Insurance institutions in the country, is between Great Alliance and Prime Insurance.
Gamstar and International Insurance will be the first to take a centre to determine the third spot winner.

Speaking to our reporter, Saikou B Jarjue, Chairman of the Insurance Football Association, said the competition is specifically meant to promote mutual understanding and cordial relations between the staff of the various insurance institutions. Jarju also expressed satisfaction with the level of enthusiatism and discipline shown by the participating insurance houses during the course of competition.

Saturday's games will be graced by scores of football enthusiasts including the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Mass Axi Gai and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Mrs Fatoumata Jahumpa-Ceesay, Governor of the Central Bank, Bamba Saho and managing directors of the various insurance houses.
