Tallinding Central Nursery School on Thursday benefited from a consignment of school materials from Charlesfield Primary School in the United Kingdom. The items were presented by John Cater, the sponsor of the school at a ceremony held at the School's ground in Tallinding.

The items included, school bags, toys, computers , sawing machine, bicycles and second hand clothings.

In his welcoming remarks, Alhagie Ebou S Badjie, Alkalo of Tallinding who also doubles as the chairman  of the board of govonors of Tallinding Central Nursery School, commended the donors for their humanitarian gesture.

According to Alkalo Badjie, the donation was a clear demonstration of the long standing relationship that exists between the School and the donors.

"Each year, students of this school benefit from their friends in Charlesfield Primary School" he said.

For his part, Buba K Camara, headmaster of the school, expressed gratitude to Charlesfield Primary for the gifts which he described as worthy and timely.

According to him, the donation will be useful to the school and its students.

"The gifts come annually from Charlesfield School in the  United kingdom. It came at the right time as we also celebrate christmas and new year in The Gambia," he said.
