The defending league champions and the super cup winners Fabou FC have been fined D5, 500 by the Brikama Sports Committee for what the committee described as “Indisciplinary Behaviour”.
The team was found wanting for using abusive language towards match officials in their game with Ajax.
In a letter sent to the team and copied to Observer Sports, it is stated that the team captain Lamin Samateh is fined for D500 and suspended for two matches for using an abusive language towards the referee and kicking the ball outside. The head coach Sulayman T Sanyang and team manager Saikou Ndow are each fined for D500 and suspended for two matches for using an abusive language towards the referee.
The fans of Fabou have also been fined D3,500 by the committee for using abusive song towards the match referee.
They are also fined D500 for the damage caused on the perimeter fence.
Fabou FC is to pay this on or before 24th August 2016.
