The head coach of Hawks FC, Ansu Fatty expressed happiness after winning their opening GFF division one league match after defeating Bombada FC by a lone goal to nil in a game at the Serekunda West Mini-Stadium on Saturday.
Matarr Badjie of Hawks FC scored the only goal in the game in the 40th minute of the first half putting smiles to both the management and fans of the club.
Coach Ansu Fatty further said that, this victory will help to boost the team morale to challenge for the league this season, noting that they missed two of their solid players to an Italian club but expressed hope to replace them before the end of the season.
For his part, the head coach of Bombada FC, Lamin Anthony Ceesay expressed disappointment for the final result, noting that they played very well but luck was not on their side as they lost their opening game of the season. He expressed hope to go back to their training ground and harder for their next games.
