Magistrate Isatou Janneh of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court last Thursday granted bail in the sum of D40, 000 to each of the two accused persons who are defending themselves in a single count charge of stealing from a person.
The magistrate also ordered for Ebrima Jallow and Amadou Jallow to provide one Gambian surety each. She said each of the sureties must deposit their national identification cards to the court and must swear to an affidavit of means as bail conditions. She equally ordered that the accused persons be present in court on every sitting date.
Ebrima Jallow and Amadou Jallow are alleged to have stolen a mobile phone marked: Samsung Galaxy 2016 latest edition, valued at D30, 000, on or about 1st October 2016 at Brikama Total Petrol Station. They both denied the charge.
The case is adjourned to Tuesday, 18th October 2016.
