Help A School Project, a charity based in Denmark recently donated school materials worth over twenty thousand Dalasi to Karantaba upper and senior secondary schools in Sami District, CRR north. The materials donated include: desktop computers, printers, furniture, home science equipment and some office materials.

Deputising for the CRR Education Director, Senior Education Officer, Lamin Juwara commended the donors for complementing Government’s efforts in education sector.

He underscored the significance of the donated materials, saying the donation came at the right time.

“Having these materials in the area will avail the students the opportunity to learn basic IT skills”, he stated.

He also applauded the pioneers of the link for their efforts in delivering the materials.

On receiving the materials, the principal of the schools, Ebrima Sallah expressed gratitude to the donors for the gesture.

He described the donation as timely, and relevant for the fact that the West African Examination Council registrations are now done using the internet.

Sallah thanked the donors through Jah Turban, the founder of Danish charity and assured him that the materials donated will be put to good use.

He used the opportunity to appeal for solar panels so that the materials can be properly utilised.

Stepping in for the donors, Bafoday Sisawo and Mbackeh, both promised to continue their support to the schools.

They advised the schools authorities to take good care of the donated materials.
