The Gambia Tourism Board under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture yesterday joined the rest of the world to celebrate World Tourism Day. To this effect the Board has issued a press release expressing appreciation and thanks to partners, and the public for their support.

As we celebrate World Tourism Day (27th September, 2016), The Gambia Tourism Board under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture wishes to seize this opportunity to thank His Excellency, the President of the Islamic Republic of The Gambia for providing the conducive environment, right policies and infrastructural development that has led to the rapid development of the Tourism Industry in The Gambia.
In the same vein, our sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to the Hon. Minister of Tourism and Culture and staff of the Ministry of Tourism & Culture, Staff and Management of The Gambia Tourism Board, the Ministry of Interior, the Board of Directors of The Gambia Tourism Board, The Gambia Hotel Association, the National Centre for Arts and Culture, The Gambia Tourism and Hospitality Institute, The Tourism and Travel Association of The Gambia, the Association of Small Scale Enterprises in Tourism (ASSET), the Craft Market Federation, the Tourist Taxi Drivers Association, the Bird Watchers Association of The Gambia, the Official Tourist Guides, veteran Tourism Personalities and all other stakeholders and The General Public at large particularly our PR and Marketing representations overseas for all the support rendered towards the development of Tourism in The Gambia over the years.
