The trial of a Norwegian man who is defending himself in a two-count criminal charge of kidnapping and abducting a child has been adjourned for continuation of the testimony of Sulayman Gaye, an Interpol officer.
Under trial before Principal Magistrate Omar Cham, Allan Jorung is alleged to have brought and unlawfully kept Carito Emilio Jimenez in The Gambia beyond 28th December 2015 out of the custody of his mother, Sandra Vamille Jimenez, who has lawful∆ care of him.
He is also alleged to have fraudulently withheld Carito Emilio Jimenez in The Gambia with intention to unlawfully deprive his mother Sandra Vamille Jimenez, who has lawful care of him. He has denied the allegations. He is under a D150, 000 court bail
Mr Jorung’s defence counsel Lawyer Uzoma Achigbue demanded for a short adjournment of the case as it was set for Sulayman Gaye to continue his testimony.
Case is adjourned to 29th September 2016
