Ismaila Gibba, a narcotic officer attached to Sukuta police station, Monday testified as the third prosecution witness on a drug trial involving Fansu Dibba, Alagie Njie and Saikou Cham before Magistrate Pa Modou Njie at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court.
In his testimony, the witness told the court that on 11th May, 2016, he and some of his colleagues were assigned by their boss to accompany the accused persons to the weigh and measuring office in Banjul to weigh and measure the alleged drug substances.
He said when they reached there, the substances were weighed and measured in the presence of the accused persons and they weighed 8kg and 6grams. He said a weighing certificate was given to them, which he (witness) personally signed. He said the accused persons and the officer in charge of the weighing also signed.
The witness and the accused persons identified the said certificate when it was shown to them and it was tendered and marked as exhibit C.
