Magistrate Momodou Bojang of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, last week adjourned a false pretence trail involving one Modou Mbow to 30th November, 2016 for continuation.
Mbow is accused of obtaining the sum of D50, 000 from one Sheikh Tiyan Ahmed for the purpose of securing a pharmacy license for him through false pretence.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Manga stated that the accused and the complainant had an agreement for the accused to secure him (complainant) the said pharmacy license at an agreed sum of D150, 000. The prosecutor explained that the complainant made an advance payment of D50, 000 to Mbow but he (Mbow) failed to produce any pharmacy license, which led to his arrest, charged and prosecution.
