Bakery Fatty, a resident of Farato and a police officer last Thursday testified as the last prosecution in an assault and trespass trial involving Musa Jawara before Magistrate Isatou Janneh of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

Jawara is accused of unlawfully entering the house of one Mai Ceesay with intent to intimidate, insult or annoy her on or about the 17th December 2015 at New Yundum village. The witness in his testimony told the court that he was on duty on 17th December, 2015 when he was assigned to accompany the victim at Banjulinding health centre for treatment on injuries he sustained on his body. He said the victim was treated at the health centre but was later transferred to Serrekunda hospital where a medical certificate was issued to him.

While responding to questions from the accused person during cross-examination, the witness said he does not know what happened between the accused person and the first prosecution witness.
