The 1st elimination of Rising Stars Africa, a reality TV show will be held tomorrow (Saturday) 8th October at the Kairaba Beach Hotel. The show, which is geared towards discovering and promoting armature local talents or acts of any type, by providing a platform for contestants to showcase their talents, is expected to bring together 40 contestants.
Contestants were auditioned by a panel of judges on different stages and the 1st elimination will be followed by similar one on 22nd October, then the final on 5th and 19th November. The theme for the event is, “Modern culture to inspire innovation especially in an African setting.”
The brain behind the show, Mariam Bangura, Chief Executive Officer of Bangz Entertainment in an interview with What’s On said the elimination will bring together 40 contestants on a live show and they will eliminate them through voting, while 60 percent will be from the public and 40 percent from the judges. “We will drop ten to remain with 30 contestants,” she revealed.
The trailblazer said the starting time is 4pm onwards and the public can vote for their favorite contestant on Act’s Number 001-040, via 1800 to Gamcel, Qcell and Comium.
“The final will be held in prestigious auditorium in front of a live audience where a winner will emerge and go home with a grand prize of D100, 000 and the winner will be part of panel of judges in the next edition.”
