Rising cultural star, Suraman is set to launch his 3rd album sometime in February 2017. The album entitled ‘Gieka’, a Serahuleh parlance meaning ‘hope’, is expected to be one of his best creative artworks.
Born Mamodou Sissoho but widely known by his music sobriquet Suraman, he is a popular Serahulleh cultural artiste that sings in both Mandinka and in his native Sarahulleh. In recent years, he has made a name for himself in the country and has collaborated with some of the finest Gambian artistes, like Jalikebba and Sambou Suso.
Starting his music career at a young age, Suraman in 2008 moved to Mali and few years later, he recorded his debut album called “GUNDO” meaning ‘secrecy’.
Later on, in 2016, he released another second album called ‘Mansa Felleh’, an album dedicated to the President of the Republic.
In an interview with What’s On, Suraman urged his fellow artistes in the country to promote unity and cooperation among them, saying with unity and love they can achieve anything.
He also thanked his fans both home and abroad for their support to the development of his music career.
