A 10-day training course for table tennis coaches and Physical Education (PE) teachers on Thursday got underway at a hotel in Kololi.
The training is organised by The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) in collaboration with the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and Gambia Table Tennis Association (GTTA) through funding from Olympic Solidarity (OS).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the president of The Gambia Table Tennis Association and secretary general of GNOC, Peter Prom, reaffirms GNOC’s commitment to the development and promotion of table tennis.
He describes the training as very timely and important, while urging on the participants to make best use of the training.
The president of GNOC, Momodou Dibba advised the beneficiary participants to stay focused and listen keenly to the deliberation by the course instructor.
The course instructor, Nicolas Petit, from France, promised to live up to expectation during the course of the training.
