Two docked for Conspiracy, Drug Trafficking

 The state prosecution through the Director of Public Prosecution has on Monday file two count charges of conspiracy and drug trafficking against two young men before Magistrate Blessed of the Kanifing Magistrate’s Court.

The duo Gibril Sillah and Mam Musa Njie denied the charges which prompted the magistrate to remand them in prison custody on the grounds that her court lacks jurisdiction to grant them bail. The presiding magistrate further called on the state to proceed with the hearing of the testimonies of the witnesses on the next adjourned date.

According to the particulars of offence on count one, the duo on the 27th August 2016 at Yeri Tenda in the Lower River Region, conspired among themselves to commit an offence of drug trafficking by importing 245grams 600miligram quantity of cocaine which was allegedly found in their possession.

On count 2, the two accused persons were said to have on the same date and place, had in their possession 245grams 600miligram of cocaine for the purpose of drug trafficking.
