Ousman Janneh, Operations Manager of the Associated Pre-Mix Oil Company, Monday said before a Kanifing Magistrates’ Court that it (the court) should rely on D3M charge against the accused person, Babucarr Badjie and not D33M.
During the continuation of his cross-examination before Principal Magistrate Hilary Abeke, Mr Janneh totally distanced himself from the D33M charge against Badjie, a former finance officer of the Oil Company.
He said he had wanted to explain to the court about the D33M he mentioned in his evidence-in-chief but was not given the chance which caused a conflict in his evidence-in-chief and cross-examination.
“I want the court to rely on D3M because that is what my report of which the accused was charged stated. I am not aware of any other report in connection to the financial transaction of the accused,” Janneh told the court. He also told the court that he has made a statement at the police in connection to the said case. Hearing continues on 30th December.
