Congratulations Gambian people, am really proud of you! As I sat on top of Arch 22 watching the July 22nd parade last Friday, I clapped my wings in joy and celebration for 22 years of peace and progress despite the hostility from near and far.
Oh Gambian people, I am the greatest critic of your activities but on this historic day, I have nothing for you but praises. Now keep it going and do not let any diabolical forces from within or without incite you into violence or civil strife. The Smiling Coast of Africa must remain the beacon of hope in this volatile world!
And oh, lest I forget, that July 22nd Development Caravan is such a sensation! I flew around following it until I could no longer go any further but the reaction I saw from ordinary Gambians is food for thought. Indeed Gambians are appreciative of the development trajectory that the July 22nd Revolution brought in. And Gambians are very much aware of the value of stability and developmentp; they will not change it for anything else.
And while you celebrate, just a quick reminder that the rains are here; so let’s get back to work; Vision 2016 is calling for more action…
