The Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) on Sunday held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Regional Education Directorate in Brikama.

The committee was installed into office to administer football in Brikama in June 2015.

Karanlang Jatta, the President of BSC described the cosmopolitan town as one of the communities with the most vibrant sporting centres in the country.

He reaffirmed his Committee’s readiness to assist the youth of Brikama “harness their God-given talents.”

He, therefore called for unity among the people of Brikama for the progress and development of sports in the community.

Delivering the activity report, the Secretary General Karamo Jarju highlighted the numerous undertakens by the Committee, among which were the amendment of the constitution and the increment of the league and knockout prizes for winners.

On the constraints, SG Jarju outlined the huge financial burden on the Committee as a result of the expenditures on the Brikama United football team.

Despite the Committee failing to submit the reports to delegates two weeks before the AGM for proper review, as dictated by the constitution, delegates adopted the reports.
