Magistrate Kebba Baldeh of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court Monday granted bail to one Sheikh Secka in the sum of D100,000 with a Gambian surety.
Secka is accused of having in his possession 560g of Cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug, on or about 25th July, 2016 at Dobson Street in Banjul. The act is contrary to Section 35(2)(c) of the 2003 Drug Control Act. He denied responsibility of the charge.
Magistrate Baldeh ruled that Secka’s surety must swear to an affidavit of means in the like sum and tender his or her valid national identity card at the court registry.
The case is adjourned to 19th September, 2016.
