The people of Janjangbureh have registered their appreciation to President Jammeh through the office of the Governor of the Central River Region for providing them with a modern health facility.
The new facility comprises of different units that renders quality healthcare services to the people of Janjangbureh and surrounding communities. The services include a laboratory, OPD consultation admission, labour and delivery, postnatal care, immunisation services, PMTCT and family planning.
The District Chief Alhaji Bakary Jam Jawo stated that his community has witnessed tremendous developments since the advent of the July 22nd Revolution. He highlighted the significance of health in national development, noting that without a healthy nation, the future of any country would be bleak.
The Women Councillor, Aja Mariama Manneh, hailed President Jammeh for empowering the women. She said the health facility is an evidence of the numerous achievements registered by the Revolution since it came into being within a short period of time compared to the previous government. She assured their unflinching support to President Jammeh and the APRC party.
The President of Janjangbureh Women Association, Manding Jawara, said the women in the Island town will remain steadfast behind President Jammeh and the party.
For his part, the regional Governor, Alhaji Omar Khan, urged the community of Janjangbureh to cement their support for President Jammeh and the APRC party. He posited that the new facility complex is another demonstration of the Revolution’s quest to the provision of affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare services to Gambian people.
He disclosed that the Janjangbureh health facility is one of the nine public health facilities in the region rendering services to people across the region. “You will agree with me that the development of any nation depends on the health status of the population and that’s the reason why the July 22nd Revolution has invested a lot of resources on healthcare services,” he said.
He further asserted that in every district in CRR, there is a health facility so as to increase access to 24 hours service round the clock. He reiterated that health posts are also erected in areas too far from a main facility within a district, noting that there are twelve health posts across CRR and all these achievements can be attributed to the Revolution under the dynamic leadership of President Jammeh.
