Joluv Arts Entertainment through its CEO Saul Sowe has announced the recent signing of sibling duo Abou and Fafa on Joluv Arts Entertainment Label. In the same vein, the label has also signed the Flame Squads, a 3-member group comprising of young Gambian artistes.
According to information gathered by What’s On, the renowned Gambian promoter Sowe said the contract agreement between the two sets of artistes entails a lot of things but key amongst them are that the bookings of the artistes and their management will now be directly under Joluv Arts.
Sowe was also quick to state that from now on all their songs, studio times, video shootings will be handled by the label.
According to Abou and Fafa they already started working on an album and that they can’t wait to see the final productions of the album. “The album will be launched on the 17th December and the venue and other details will be revealed soon. We are really excited working with them and hoping that both parties benefit at the end of the contract”
The same operating system applies for the Flame Squads, a Banjul-based group.
It could be recalled that in 2012, the renowned promoter recorded and produced Slam G’s album entitled, ‘Choosan Ngenteh’ and the same year in December he took Vivian Ndure to perform in London in collaboration with Global Properties.
Supporting artists at the UK tour were Jalimadi, Slam G, T Smallz and Nancy Nana Mboob.
Later on, Saul established Joluv Arts label singing some of the finest Gambian artistes; namely, Bai Babou, Jalimadi and Manding Morry in 2013. As part of the contract, he released and launched the albums of Jalimadi called ‘Gambia’ at Penhami. That same year in December, the popular album ‘Dokowulom’ by Manding Morry was launched at Jama hall.
Bai Babou also released his famous ‘Aj Bsakaw’ album last year at Penchami. The label created lot of contacts for its artistes, thereby enabling some of its signed artistes to criss-cross between different parts of the world.
The labels headliner Bai Babou is currently on a US tour with Senegalese Pap Diouf and plans are on the way before the end of the year for the two artists to also tour Europe.
