Magistrate Transfers Murder Case to High Court

Magistrate Elizabeth Dunn of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court has transferred a murder case to the High Court after the accused person pleaded guilty to the charge yesterday.

Alagie Camara pleaded guilty to the charge of commiting the murder of Modou Manjang, a charge that contravenes Section 187 of the Criminal Code of The Gambia.

The prosecution alleged that Mr Camara on or about 22nd July 2016, in Old Yundum Village and diverse places intentionally and unlawfully stabbed Manjang with a knife leading to his death.
