Brusubi Pak Food and D’Dolphins on Monday became the latest teams to book their places in the quarterfinal stage of the knockout competition following respective wins over Lemon Tree and Global Properties FC.
Brusubi Pak Food thrashed Lemon Tree FC 3-0 on a post-match penalty shootout following a goalless stalemate at the final whistle.
The Brusubi-based team, who are also competing in the league tournament, will aim to strengthen their winning form in the Manjai Nawettan, while Lemon Tree FC who is now eliminated in the knockout competition will be participating only in the league tournament.
D’Dolphines FC also made it through to the next round of the knockout stage after eliminating Global Properties FC by a lone goal to nil. D’Dolphines FC are also competing in both the league and knockout tournament following their qualification in the knockout tournament, while Global Properties FC are finally out of the Manjai Nawettan after been eliminated in both competitions
Meanwhile, in the Manjai League competition on Tuesday, Ballack FC defeated Darusalam FC 4-3 on a post-match penalty following a goalless stalemate in regulation time, while Starlight also knocked out Kololi United with a 1-0 win.
