Gambian afro manding artiste, Samba Bah, known for his melodious voice and mesmerizing qualities in the music scene was the star singer at the heart of the just concluded 22nd July Development Caravan.
The caravan, which did not leave entertainment behind, gathered students and people in Brikama and Farafeni, during which Samba Bah and Tata Dinding Jobarteh treated the audience with superb performances.
In an interview with Observer Light, legendary Gambian musician Tata Dinding Jobarteh, expressed profound gratitude to the Director General Momodou Sabally for initiating a media project of this nature and magnitude. “I felt so much honoured to be part of this tour. It is a great idea having entertainment incorporated into the mega tour “, he expressed.
According to him, the 22nd July Revolution has brought so many positives to The Gambia’s entertainment industry, adding that so many artistes benefited from President Jammeh’s largesse. “With his support, most of us have implemented so many projects. May Allah continue to bless him and our nation at large,” he prayed.
Samba Bah, a musician of a great repute, described the caravan as a laudable initiative as it has availed the ordinary people to tell their stories about the 22nd July Revolution. “President Jammeh is a dynamic leader whose interest is to develop Gambia in various aspects,” he stated.
The “Nyancho” hit maker further went on to disclose that the President’s relentless support in empowering music and musicians in The Gambia is visible and appreciated by them. “He supported so many Gambian artistes including myself. I am proud of him and forever I will be,” he told team OB Light.
